Sharing our favourite recipes...Adele Ashley's Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Adele shares one of her favourite summer desserts, it’s so easy to create and dairy-free! This recipe makes 4 servings.

What you'll need

  • 2 very ripe avocados
  • Finely grated zest and juice of 1 large orange
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder (can also use cocoa powder as long as a minimum of 70% cocoa)
  • 2 teaspoons of Cointreau liqueur
  • Fresh berries (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon natural non-dairy yoghurt (optional)

What to do

  1. Halve the avocados, discarding the stones, scoop the flesh out and put in a blender
  2. Add the remaining ingredients (except the liqueur) and blend to make a thick cream
  3. Add the liqueur and blend for 10 seconds
  4. Put in serving bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes
  5. Top with berries and 1 teaspoon of natural yoghurt
