CUSTOMER SERVICE & SHOWROOM MANAGER

Pooky Lighting is a young and ambitious lighting company. We’re looking for a lively, motivated, self-starting, and fun individual to join the showroom team in Redbrick. The role involves helping trade and retail customers in the showroom and on the phone, as well as working closely with the team in our West Country warehouse. As the most prominent face of Pooky, applicants must be great communicators with good writing skills, an eye for detail, and above all, a determination to score 5-star approval ratings from customers. Opportunities abound to use your creativity and sense of fun to develop the showroom environment. An interest and knowledge of the interiors world would be a benefit. 

Main Purpose:

To ensure that our customers are treated to an exceptional experience in a showroom that typifies Pooky and enable the team to create lasting relationships with them.

Skills required:

• Enthusiastic, committed, team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and solve problems.
• Understands what delivering an exceptional customer experience looks like.
• Organised, bright, and with an eye for detail.
• Making sure customer interaction is kept up to the best possible standard – i.e., greeting customers, correcting information if given wrong etc. Always listening! Hiring and training of new staff members as required. 
• Ensuring clear communication and support for the weekend team.
• Ensure that the team proactively establish relationships and act as the face of Pooky for the identified Interior Designers by hosting events and keeping them up to date.
• Ensuring general upkeep of the showroom – checking tags, stock, tidying, ensuring we have stationary supplies and bulbs are replaced etc.
• Computer literate. Microsoft Office and Pooky inventory and ordering system
• Keyboard skills
• Fluent spoken and written English

Working hours:

5 days out of 7 per week. Monday to Saturday hours are 9.45am to 6pm Sunday 10.15am-5pm.

Salary: Subject to Experience
