FULL TIME WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

Initial 2-month Fixed Term Contract with potential to become a longer term role.

Made in Japan UK brings the best of Japanese tableware and homeware to the UK.
We supply Michelin-starred restaurants, shops and hotels as well as retail customers
through our website and store at Redbrick Mill. Every order we send matters from a
single handmade mug to a full pallet of ceramics. Our small, friendly team takes
pride in quality, care, and customer service, and we’re looking for someone who
shares that approach.

The Role:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be central to the smooth running of our warehouse.
That means:

  • Keeping stock organised, tidy and safe
  • Picking and packing orders with care including fragile ceramics so they arrive with customers exactly as intended
  • Checking orders against picking lists and making sure the right products and quantities are sent
  • Wrapping, boxing, and handing parcels to couriers
  • Receiving deliveries, checking goods for quality and accuracy, and putting stock away
  • Helping with stock counts and keeping stock records accurate
  • Following health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean workspace
  • It’s a practical, fast-paced role, especially during busy periods, but also one where care and attention to detail really count.

About you:

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Reliable, punctual, and organised

  • Comfortable occasionally lifting up to 20kg

  • Happy being on your feet throughout the day

  • Detail-driven, you notice when something isn’t quite right and take pride in getting it correct

  • A team player who enjoys working in a small, supportive environment

Previous warehouse experience is useful but not essential we’ll provide full training. Forklift experience is a bonus.

Pay & Benefits

  • £12.71 per hour (21+)

Working Hours 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday

  • Overtime will be available during peak periods

  • Part-time or flexible patterns considered for the right candidate
