Redbrick supports Yorkshire Cancer Research

To launch a new partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research, Redbrick held a number of fundraising activities including a static bike challenge to see how far our staff could cycle. Customers were asked to guess the mileage, with the opportunity to receive a £100 voucher to spend in store.

Redbrick also donated a percentage of all sales over the weekend to the charity, including sales from the store’s three cafés. Proceeds from the sale of a dedicated ‘Yorkshire’ sandwich provided a further boost to the total raised.

The money will help to improve cancer outcomes in Yorkshire by raising awareness of cancer and how to prevent it, promoting screening programmes and funding innovative research, from diagnosis to end-of-life care.

 Stephanie Jones, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everybody involved in making the fundraising weekend at Redbrick such a huge success. The money raised will help more people in Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer.”
